Trail running camps 2025: The first camp is aimed at experienced runners who are preparing for a competitive event in the summer. Depending on their level of ability, participants are divided into smaller groups and the routes are tailored to individual needs. The two other camps are aimed at recreational runners, with or without running experience – there are guides to suit every level.

There are plenty of parking spaces with power connections and a washing facility in the underground car park at the Lodge Hof Weissbad.

You can lace up your ice skates and show off your skills on the natural ice rink right behind the hotel. Incidentally, it is illuminated until 9:30 p.m. in the evening. Please check in advance whether the natural ice rink is open. With the Appenzeller holiday card, you can rent ice skates free of charge on site.

Cross-country skiing specialist Dani Räss in Steinegg is on hand to provide expert advice and high-quality equipment.

On the Kronberg, there is a 1,450-meter-long bobsleigh track and an adventure park. Master exciting climbing challenges on five different routes and float over the terrain on 25 zip lines.

June 15 to 20, 2025 Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Appenzell customs, experience living traditions, regional crafts, and culinary highlights amid the impressive landscape of the Alpstein. Depending on how high the grass is, the "öberegfahre" takes place in May or June. The Alpfahrt is an impressive experience and an integral part of Appenzell tradition. Every year at the beginning of summer, the herdsmen drive their decorated cows with their melodious bells up to the alpine pastures – a colorful and impressive spectacle that can be admired right on your doorstep. Locals and visitors gather along the route to experience this unique custom up close.

Experience Silvesterchlausen on January 13, when the artistically dressed Chläuse go from house to house and welcome the new year with their Zäuerli. Admire the beautiful, wild, and scary Chläuse, whose detailed headdresses and elaborate decorations make this custom so unique. Bookable from January 10 to 15, 2026
